Bulldogs or Demons? Father-daughter star chooses draft destination

MELBOURNE is set to swoop on dual-club father-daughter prospect Georgia Campbell.

The key forward's father, Adrian, played 30 games for the Western Bulldogs between 1988 and 1992, and two matches for Melbourne in 1993.

The minimum games requirement for father-daughter qualification in the AFLW is one match.

The AFL will officially confirm the father-daughter selection in the coming days.

Campbell, a member of the NAB AFLW Academy and considered a top-20 talent, won't be taken in next week's NAB AFLW Draft until at least pick No.42, the Demons' first selection.

The pick used won't be publicly known until the moment on draft night.

It's understood location was a major selling point for the outer-east product, having played her local footy with Knox.

A strong athlete, Campbell has regularly won junior Victorian high jump competitions, and represented the state in 2018 and 2019.
