With season eight of the NAB AFL Women's competition on the horizon, all eyes turn to the 2023 AFLW Sign and Trade Period.
Priority signing period – March 1 to March 8
This year, four clubs will have access to a ‘priority signing period’, which will run from March 1 to March 8.
During this ‘PSP’, Essendon, Hawthorn, Port Adelaide and Sydney will be able to sign current AFLW players from other clubs without a trade being made.

Trade period – March 10 to March 20
The 2023 AFLW Trade Period will open on March 10.
AFLW Season Eight Supplementary Draft – April 4
The AFLW Season Eight Supplementary Draft will be held on Tuesday, April 4 at a time to be confirmed.
