Kate Darby made the most of her opportunity after being added to the Cats’ list again ahead of season six to cover Renee Garing, who went on parental leave.
The key forward, who can also pinch-hit in the ruck, had a stellar season, all the more impressive considering she was returning from having her first child, Ella. The competitive Darby came out firing in season six, playing all 10 rounds, and making her impact felt on the field.
