Nina Morrison finally got a clean go at a season after making her return from a second ACL reconstruction in season six.
Originally selected with the No.1 draft pick in 2018 and earning a Rising Star nomination in her debut game, Morrison showed that she was every bit a midfield force to be reckoned with in season six, playing nine of a possible 10 games and averaging 13.8 disposals, 6.4 contested possessions and 5.9 tackles a game. The classy midfielder is renowned for her footy smarts and effort, covering a lot of ground and providing the Cats with drive going forward, as well as working hard to win the ball back when the opposition has it. Morrison was also elevated to the role of Cats’ vice-captain in season six, which she carries into season seven.
