Small but exceedingly versatile, defender Abbey McDonald was the Cats’ third selection in the 2022 NAB AFLW Draft.
Recruited from the Calder Cannons, McDonald will reunite with former teammates Georgie Prespakis and Zali Friswell at the Cats. A fierce competitor, McDonald defends first but is able to work off her opponent and contribute to her team’s attack. McDonald’s footy IQ sets her up for success to play a number of different roles.
