Selected in the 2021 NAB AFLW draft with pick No.2 overall – pick No.1 in the Victorian draft – Georgie Prespakis looked at home in the Cats’ midfield from her first game in the Hoops. Her debut performance against North Melbourne Tasmanian Kangaroos saw her earn a NAB Rising Star nomination after collecting 20 disposals (12 contested) and laying six tackles for an impressive 402m gained. Prespakis played all 10 games in her first season, forming a strong midfield unit with the likes of Amy McDonald, Becky Webster and Nina Morrison.
