Drafted to the Cats as an athletic, impactful forward who could pinch-hit in the ruck at junior level, it was in defence that Gabbi Featherston established herself in her first AFLW season.
Known for her impressive leap and clean hands, Featherston didn’t baulk from the contest, playing on more seasoned opponents in her first season. After making her debut in round two, Featherston went on to play seven consecutive games for the Cats. With more experience and another pre-season to her credit, Featherston will be looking to cement a spot in Geelong’s starting 21 in season seven.
