Shelley Heath stands at just 160cm, but she’s the toughest of footballers.
The former Australian taekwondo champion (aged eight) is a powerful player who bring the aggression and lay a serious tackle. She caught the eye of the All-Australian selectors last season, earning her first squad selection after locking down some of the best small forwards in the competition – she averaged nine disposals and five tackles in the process. The 22-year-old now has 28 matches to her name and will be a key cog to Melbourne’s defence in 2022.
