Purcell, who arrived at the Demons at the start of 2022, made a big impact across her first season in new colours.
Known for her competitiveness and work around the contest, Purcell returned from an ACL injury to play six games in the red and blue, adding to Melbourne’s midfield depth. The keen surfer started her career at Geelong, where she was recognised with the club’s Best and Fairest Award and All-Australian selection in her second year (2020). Purcell’s run and aggression are among her biggest strengths and with a full pre-season under her belt, she is set to add further spark this campaign.
