Albany local Sophie McDonald has gone from strength-to-strength as a defender coming into her fourth year of AFLW.
Originally a hockey player, McDonald was spotted by recruiters in 2018 during an alternate sports talent search. Selected with pick No.39 in the AFLW draft the following year, the determined defender has used her physical strength to shackle attacking players and is continuing to develop her craft.
