Coming from the Western Bulldogs in 2020, Gaelic football convert Aisling McCarthy is a key member of the squad now having played a total of 23 games of AFLW.
Traded for picks No.2 and 16 in the 2020 draft, McCarthy only played four matches to start 2022 after suffering a fractured wrist and will be looking to return to the form she had in 2021 where she was able to finish runner-up in the Eagles' best and fairest award from just seven appearances. The County Tipperary product can play multiple positions transferring from the forward line to the midfield in 2020, where she has now become a dominant player using her speed and strength to get the ball forward.
