Initially overlooked in the draft after representing Western Australia in the 2019 under-18 competition, Goranova was a train-on player for West Coast in 2021 and was close to a debut when she was named as an emergency.
Over the summer of 2022, the side was granted the ability to sign four mature-age players, and as a result Goranova was recruited alongside her Claremont captain and teammate Ella Smith.
