Defender Belinda Smith is one of the most experienced Eagles in the AFLW side, following stints at Fremantle and the Western Bulldogs.
Smith signed on with West Coast before the 2020 season and was a member of the inaugural Eagles side in their first match against Collingwood. A fixture across half-back, Smith finished in the top 10 of the Club Champion awards in 2020 and had another solid season in 2021. Smith played every game again last season and finished eighth in the best and fairest count after averaging 11.2 disposals.
