Key Forward

There are red-hot highlights reels, and then there’s J’Noemi Anderson’s.

A relentless inside midfielder whose ferocious tackling is already a hallmark of her game, Anderson’s freakish skillset comes complete with the ability to swing up forward and take strong grabs overhead. Anderson, sister of North Melbourne’s Jed Anderson, is the first Indigenous AFLW player signed to St Kilda, joining the club’s eight Indigenous AFL-listed players for season 2022. From Warumungu Country, the first-round draftee has spent the past few years boarding at Melbourne Girls Grammar while representing the Northern Territory in the NAB League Anderson was presented with St Kilda’s distinguished No. 7 guernsey made famous by proud Noongar man Nicky Winmar, with the club great presenting Anderson the jumper when she first arrived at Moorabbin.
