Smith was drafted with selection No.52 in the 2022 NAB AFLW Draft. A Gold Coast local and Suns Academy product, the 18-year-old is a pressuring half-forward who can also play in the midfield.
Smith has elite endurance and athleticism, which was on show during the 2022 NAB AFLW Combine where she posted the fastest time of all draftees in the 2km time trial. Smith is the daughter of a Geelong VFL footballer-turned-triathlete champion father and former Commonwealth Games badminton bronze medallist mother.
