Recruited in the 2021 off-season from St Kilda, Whitfort played nine matches in her first season for the Suns and is a tough midfielder who can play inside or on the wing.
Whitfort has played 23 games of AFLW and has continued to improve since joining the Suns. She won the 2022 Coach’s Award, which was awarded by the AFLW Head Coach Cameron Joyce based on the most impressive player on and off the field. Whitfort will bring her physicality and willingness to attack the contest to the Suns for the AFLW season seven campaign.
