Tonon was selected with pick No.20 at the 2021 NAB AFLW Draft on the back of her SANFLW Grand Final win with Glenelg.
The defender is well known for her elite kick and represented South Australian at the NAB AFLW Under-19 Championships. Tonon moved away from family in Mount Gambier to attend a boarding school in Adelaide to focus on her football.
