MELBOURNE claimed its first premiership victory on Sunday, while Brisbane failed to cap off its dominant season with the ultimate prize.
Tensions and emotions ran high at Brighton Homes Arena as the underdog Demons surged past the Lions in muggy conditions while a crowd of 7412 watched on.
