AFL Executive General Manager Clubs, Finance and Broadcasting Travis Auld said the finals series has been outstanding with great games and fierce competition keeping football fans on edge.

"We’ve had another incredible week of the finals series. Both North Melbourne and Adelaide Crows played outstanding football with exceptional atmosphere across a huge Saturday. The excitement ahead for week three of the finals is palpable," Auld said.

"Week Three will see AFLW Finals hosted at Metricon Stadium and IKON Park."

AFL General Manager Women’s Football Nicole Livingstone said she was looking forward to the week three of finals and acknowledged the two clubs whose season came to an end.

"It’s been an incredible finals series so far, with the top four teams secured. Melbourne, Adelaide Crows, Brisbane Lions and North Melbourne - congratulations to you all so far," Livingstone said.

"Of course, well done to Richmond and Collingwood for everything you have brought to Season Seven. I look forward to seeing you climb back up the ladder and be in contention in Season Eight.

"For Brisbane Lions and Adelaide Crows, this clash will be like no other. We’re expecting a fantastic turn out at Metricon as these teams all season have been so exciting to watch.

"For Melbourne and North Melbourne, they will be both hungrier than ever after Melbourne are chasing that Premiership glory they sorely missed out on in Season Six."
